Can we apply hair oil after 15 days of Hair Transplant?

Have you recently got your hair transplantation? If yes, then make sure not to use anything on your scalp without consulting it with your doctor. This is true that oil can be used in order to soften the scabs post-transplant. However, the issue is that the oil you are using might contain harmful ingredients that can cause severe problems for you in the future.

We are living in an era where the internet is playing a massive role in advancing our knowledge about different fields, but wait! When it comes to your hair; don’t rely on the internet stuff. There are a number of blogs that says using lotion or oil on your head after surgery is fine. Well, make sure to check whether they have given any scientific proof or not. Therefore, avoid using anything without getting instructions from your surgeon.

Baby oil is fine to use as it comprises natural ingredients in it. Moreover, there are a number of oil products available in the market made of natural ingredients and safe to use but the question is same. Therefore, it would be great to ask your surgeon before using anything on your scalp.

Keep in mind that the first two weeks after hair transplant surgery is very sensitive. This is the time period when your scalp is still in the healing process. By the 10th or 11th day, the grafts should be secured tightly and you can normally apply oil on your scalp after consulting with your surgeon. However, make sure not to touch your scalp with your fingers. Always use a dropper or cotton ball to apply oil on your scalp.

A recent study has explained that do not use anything on your scalp for maximum 2 to 3 weeks. It is obvious that you have spent a huge amount of money to get an attractive appearance. So, why to waste your time and money? Be patient and wait until your surgeon does not prescribe you any oil or supplement to use it on your head.
